Grab a little Irish inspiration this summer by getting out and about on one of Ireland’s many garden trails.
There are dozens of garden trails to enjoy all over the country, all showcasing the very best gardens as well as putting on plenty of workshops, demonstrations, guided walks and talks so you can really immerse yourself in all things green-fingered.
Among the largest is the Wexford Garden trail, now with 21 gardens to see from walled gardens and arboretums to a castle and one of Ireland’s finest Japanese gardens. Carlow Garden trail offers a similar number of gardens around the south-east including great old gardens that have been lovingly restored to smaller gardens, award-winning garden centres and forest parks.
Donegal’s Garden Trail is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, with 24 gardens on offer, while in Northern Ireland the Antrim garden trail takes you through three castles, two walled gardens and the fine Botanic Gardens in Belfast.
You’ll find other garden trails in West Cork, Dublin, Wicklow and Limerick; don’t forget to take your notebook and camera to record all those inspiring ideas for your own garden, then pop into our garden centre here in Co. Limerick and we’ll help you recreate them in your own back yard.
